On October 21, 2007, John with Arlo and I with Elli tracked a wounded deer for Stephen Napiorski and his friend Jeff Mangold. Arlo was a leading dog on this call. The deer was shot at 7am and we tracked him 10 hours later. Arlo did an excellent job and jumped the deer, which was gut shot. We managed to catch up with the deer, which was subsequently dipatched by the hunter.
It was not easy to handle Elli and trying to take pictures at the same time! When the dogs got on the hot line, they both opened and a quick pursuit followed. The picture shows Arlo pulling the lead and voicing.
